JAMB Registers Over 300,000 Candidates
As of April 25th, 2021, the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) announced that approximately 316, 132 candidates had registered for the ongoing 2021 UTME registration, while approximately 8, 490 candidates had registered for the Direct Entry.
The board also announced that 126,402 candidates have expressed interest in participating in the mock UTME.
JAMB registers over 300,000 candidates in order to refund erroneous profile code formation fees.
Meanwhile, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that candidates who were unable to produce their profile code to register for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination due to low or network failure from telecommunication service providers will receive a refund.
The board stated that this does not apply to candidates who entered the incorrect code while attempting to produce their registration profile codes.
From April 30, the board will add the use of a USSD code as an alternative to the SMS method of creating a profile code for registration.
