Jamb Registers 160,617 UTME Candidates To Take The 2021 JAMB Mock Exam
JAMB has announced that a total of 160,617 candidates will take part in its mock unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME) on June 3. The exam will be administered at one of the approved 802 computer-based testings (CBT) centers located in 104 designated examination towns across the country.
Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s head of public affairs and protocol, announced this on Monday. He advised all candidates who had registered for the exam and expressed an interest in sitting the mock examination to reprint their notification slips.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that one week after the registration deadline was extended, only an additional 200,000 candidates, including both UTME and Direct entry candidates, had registered.
According to JAMB, a total of 124,519 candidates who expressed interest in registering for the examination and had obtained profile codes have yet to receive the required registration pins.
Mr. Fabian urged prospective candidates not to wait until the last minute to register for the exam, stating that the body would no longer consider adjusting its calendar.
